Less than 1 star! Horrific! NEVER use them for moving or storage! Not climate controlled! Damaged items, photographs ruined from moisture, broken china, glass, mirrors, mildew mattress, pillows, linens, clothing! Everything damp! Stained, smells, and sticky (it's because it's in a pine box in a warehouse (garage). Items lost, stolen, received a child's bed, dresser, toy chest when I pulled my stuff out of storage! Jeff is a thug! Overcharge, hold you hostage to pull your items out of storage, no compensation for any lost , damaged, or stolen items. I had to hire a separate moving company to pick up my belongings from his facility! His own staff was appalled at the amount of crushed boxes and items that were NOT mine! Jeff Harrington should not be trusted to move or store anything if it is of any value to you! Mover beware!
Jeff (the owner) and his staff came through for me when I was in a tremendous bind. I needed a chandelier moved immediately from one house to another but could not find a moving company to help. In fact, one company wanted to place it in a cardboard box and rest it on packing peanuts - a recipe for disaster and many broken chandelier arms. Jeff immediately and patiently assessed my needs and had a crate handmade at my home big enough to fit the chandelier and carefully transport it in the enclosed crate hanging from a chandelier hook. The staff moving the chandelier could not have been more professional. They even cleaned my driveway of sawdust after building the crate! To top it off, the rate I was quoted to do all of this work on literally a few hours notice was very reasonable. My family and I would highly recommend Harrington to everybody for all of their residential moving needs.
We moved from NJ to Washington DC and I can highly recommend Harrington Moving and Storage. From Jeff to Maria to Kenny and his crew, our move was seamless. The communication, the fair pricing, and the professionalism of the actual movers, I couldn’t be more happy. This particular move was not an easy one. Washington DC has narrow row houses, terrible parking and lots of steps. These guys were terrific! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Harrington
