But the food is good enough that I'm still happy to give it 5 stars.
Had a great dinner on Friday night. We didn’t have a reservation but luckily they had a single table available so we were happy to get the last one. Everyone enjoyed the food, thought it was inventive and unique. The wives were very happy with the wines they had but we were really appreciative of the manager spending some time with us showcasing all the craft gins they offer, including some I’ve never heard of. For some odd reason, we have never been here before, living in the next town and all but will be sure to put Coda in our rotation for weekly nights out.
Been here a lot, mostly because other nearby restaurants were too crowded. The food is good and there is a large variety for lots of different tastes. The service is usually pretty good, although on a few occasions we had to wait long to order or for our check to come. They get really busy and loud at times. There been a few times where the food preparation left a lot to be desired. Today I ordered a blackened cod sandwich for lunch, and it was soaked in spicy sauce, so much that it leaked a puddle onto the plate and was really messy and overly spicey. And I love spicy foods.
Love the food, the staff, the ambiance. What I don't like is them charging $55 for a bottle of Reisling which is $10 in the liquor store a block away. I understand they want to make money, but this is a bit much.
Excellent food. Was very hard to pick what I wanted from the menu. Went with the beer burger cheeseburger and was very happy with it. Wait staff was good but not great; had to flag a waiter for drink refills and then didn't get a third round of drinks because no one ever came before there was no point.
Bartender is a creep who decides to judge you on how much you’ve ordered. He decided on his own to not serve me past three drinks in spite of the fact they were spaced out within a two hour period. Just because he said so. I have never been treated this way in my entire life at any establishment especially not being remotely drunk or showing reason for cause. This same person did this to my party of four when we were dining at the restaurant two months prior. It is unbelievable that someone is policing the drinks, especially considering no one is showing any signs of over-drinking. I work too hard and I am too responsible to have another person treat me in this matter and try to shame me. Don’t go here. Horrible service, horrible staff.
